This year we ran another
successful Melbourne camp. Students from year 6 and above left Djarindjin on Saturday the 19th of August and spent a
week with host families from St Kevin’s and Loretto in Melbourne.
Our students had many wonderful adventures, experiencing life in a major Australian city. Highlights included:

This year’s NAIDOC theme was ‘Because of Her We Can!’ It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vital role women have played and of course continue to play in our community, our families, our culture and our lives. During our NAIDOC celebrations in week 4, we launched our very own story book Djarindjin Gorna Jawal. The creation of this book was a wonderful project we worked on with Jacqui Williams and Grace Lewis. It is full of traditional stories and tales of adventures with families and friends, as told by the CTK kids and written down in their own ‘kriol’. The finished product is a wonderful collection...
