Loreto and St Kevin's Immersion Camp

This year it was our turn to host immersion students from Melbourne.
In Week 1 of Term 3 2019, we had some special guests staying with us at CTK. Students from St Kevin’s and Loreto, the schools which host us every other year when we go to Melbourne, came to spend a week with us in Djarindjin Lombadina. 

It was a very exciting week for our visitors as they toured around the community and surrounding areas. We shared a lovely day at the beach with the whole school and community members also turned up to join in the fun. They enjoyed some other wonderful excursions with our world famous tour guides Bundy Chaquebor and Brian Lee, and they were taught to dance the Bardi way by the equally famous Mr Vincent!  
 They learned a lot about our lives here and it was fantastic to see the pride our students have in being able to share their country and culture with their friends from Melbourne. It is always a valuable experience for both the Melbourne and Djarindjin kids.
