This year it was our turn to host immersion students from Melbourne.
In Week 1 of Term 3 2019, we had some special guests staying with us at CTK. Students from St Kevin’s and Loreto, the schools which host us every other year when we go to Melbourne, came to spend a week with us in Djarindjin Lombadina.

successful Melbourne camp. Students from year 6 and above left Djarindjin on Saturday the 19th of August and spent a
week with host families from St Kevin’s and Loretto in Melbourne.
Our students had many wonderful adventures, experiencing life in a major Australian city. Highlights included:

The 2018 NAIDOC theme was ‘Because of Her We Can!’ It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vital role women have played and of course continue to play in our community, our families, our culture and our lives. During our 2018 NAIDOC celebrations in week 4, we launched our very own story book Djarindjin Gorna Jawal. The creation of this book was a wonderful project we worked on with Jacqui Williams and Grace Lewis.
